William Nossen has been with the Law Offices of Alan L. Zegas since January of 2004. A member of the New Jersey and New York State Bar, and a graduate of the Seton Hall University School of Law, Mr. Nossen was previously an Assistant Prosecutor with the Essex County Prosecutor's Office from January 2000 till January 2004. As an Assistant Prosecutor he tried over twenty cases before a jury, including a homicide and aggravated arson trial. Prior to joining the Prosecutor's Office, Mr. Nossen was a law clerk for the Honorable Peter V. Ryan, J.S.C. and the Honorable Harvey Weissbard, J.S.C. (Retired, J.A.D.)

As an associate with the Law Offices of Alan L. Zegas, Mr. Nossen's primary areas of practice are criminal defense, both State and Federal, municipal court, appellate practice and administrative law. He has successfully defended teachers at trials before judges and jury when their teaching license was at stake. He also successfully defended a client at a jury trial out of Union County who was charged with indictable sexual assault charges. In the fall of 2007, he was instrumental in having a client's first degree robbery charges dismissed prior to trial, after this Office, with the help of Mr. Nossen, was successful at having his conviction reversed on appeal. Mr. Nossen also procured a substantial monetary settlement on behalf of a Newark Police Officer, after successfully litigating the matter before the Office of Administrative Law.
